How Does Multiroom TV Work?
The way Multiroom can depend on your provider, but broadly speaking Multiroom is compatible with both satellite and cable TV.
To have multiroom operate across two TVs via satellite, we can connect the cable directly to your satellite dish. For more than two TVs, we can install your multiroom system using a splitter to accommodate multiple TVs.
For cable television, we can split your cable feed to also service as many set-top boxes and TVs as you like –though, depending on your provider, there are certain things to keep in mind:
Sky Multiscreen
Sky Multiscreen allows you to connect up to 4 mini boxes wirelessly to your Sky Q box.
Virgin Media
You’re not limited to how many TVs you have as part of your multiroom set-up, as long as you have a Virgin Media box for each TV.
Talk Talk
Talk Talk multiroom systems allow you to watch different – or the same – channels on up to 2 TVs.

Several TV service providers offer multiroom compatibility, including:
- Sky (with Sky Q or Sky Glass)

- BT TV
- TalkTalk TV
Make sure to check the specific service and package you're subscribing to for multiroom functionality.

Yes, many multiroom TV systems can be set up wirelessly, especially with newer technologies like Sky Glass or Virgin Media's wireless multiroom setup. However, the reliability of wireless streaming can depend on the strength of your Wi-Fi network. If your Wi-Fi signal is weak, it might be better to opt for a wired connection.
Yes, multiroom TV is configurable to suit your preferences. You can choose where to place your additional TV boxes, set up different channels or streaming services in each room, and control them with your main device. Some providers also allow you to customize what you watch in each room and manage settings through an app or remote.
We can support you on that and discuss with you the options you have. Simply call us on: 0800 357 9414 for more information.
Yes, you can get multiroom with Sky Glass. With the Sky Glass system, you can have additional Sky Glass TVs in other rooms, and each TV can be connected to your main Sky Glass system, allowing you to access content from Sky, apps, and streaming services. Additional TVs are connected over your home Wi-Fi, and you can manage the system easily through the Sky Glass interface.
We also offer a Sky Glass TV installation service if you want to get everything sorted at the same time. Call us on: 0800 357 9414 to find out more.
