DIGITAL TV AERIAL INSTALLATION
A compatible TV aerial is required to receive Digital "Terrestrial" TV.
Transmitter on Winter Hill in Lancashire, one of the most important transmitters in the UK serving approximately 7million people.
Digital terrestrial TV took over from analogue TV, the terrestrial switch over took place between October 2007 and October 2012 with each TV region having it's analogue broadcast transmitters switched off between those date.
Digital TV now has improved picture and sound quality, many more channels and the ability to have additional menus and interactive features. Freeview is the most common of the new Digital service providers which uses a simple set top box connected to your TV aerial. The set top box which can be picked up for as little as £20 gives you free access to around 50 TV channels and 20 Digital radio channels. There are options for subscription based versions of the free service offering further channels and content.
